Is Health Education Institute accredited? Will my Statement of Attainment be Nationally recognised?
We are Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45711) that provides Vocational Education and Training to professionals and students, resulting in qualifications or statements of attainment that are recognised and accepted by industry and other educational institutions throughout Australia.
What experience do Health Education Institute trainers have?
All of our trainers have industry experience and background as a Registered Nurse particularly worked in critical/acute setting. The trainers are also Advanced Life Support instructors in hospital setting having many years of practical experience in the relevant fields and apply this experience and knowledge to your training course.
How long does it take to complete a first aid course?
A First Aid Course will take 1.5 to 6.5 hours of face-to-face learning depending on which type of First Aid Course you are taking. You are required to do online learning prior to face to face course. How long online learning takes to complete depends on your previous knowledge of first aid.

What if I am late or need to leave early?
We understand that there can be unavoidable delays due to traffic or other unforeseeable circumstances. It would be greatly appreciated if you could contact the office if you feel you may be late. If you are late more than half an hour, you are not be able to attend the course and required to reschedule.
In order to receive a certificate, you are required to complete all the written and practical assessments to be found competent. Certificates cannot be issued if competency is not achieved.
Is there parking available?
Unfortunately, there is no free parking available. However, our venue is very close to Hornsby station.
Do you provide training at workplaces?
Yes, we can provide training at your workplace subject to the participation numbers and suitability of your training area. Please contact the office to discuss this further.
I am a health care worker. What is the difference between General and Health Care Professionals?
If you have even small chance to work in a hospital or go to a clinical placement in a hospital setting, we strongly recommend you to take health care professional pathway. We provide in depth knowledge and training. The training is adjusted to hospital environment.
I don’t work in a hospital. Can I take a health care professional pathway?
If you wish to do so, anyone will welcome to take health care professional pathway.
Can I receive a refund if I need to cancel my training?
Health Education institute operates a fair and equitable fees and refunds policy. Cancellations received more than 7 days prior to the date of booked training will receive a refund of the paid amount less a $10 administration fee. Cancellations received inside this 7-day period will not be eligible for a refund but can be rescheduled.
How do I reschedule my training? Is there a cost involved?
We are happy to reschedule your training, providing that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours’ notice will automatically receive a 25% rebooking fee payable at the time of rescheduling. Failure to attend your training for any reason or rescheduling the training multiple times will also incur this rebooking fee regardless of notice period given. Please contact the office to organise this.
Are there assessments or exams to complete on the day?
Yes. our training courses include both written and practical and assessment. Written assessment includes a multiple-choice test and short answers. For full-day training these questions are completed in small blocks. If you have any literacy, reading, or language concerns please contact to us before booking the course.
